Howie D was one of the first to join the Backstreet Boys. He, AJ and Nick met during an audition.The three become firm friends and had the same ambition and so decided to form a pop group.
Howie's first performancewas when he was 3, when he sang a Baby Face song in front of his startled family. As a child, Howie sand in local theatres and choirs. Under the name of Tony Donetti, Howie appeared in comercials for Walt Disney and the films Parenthood and Cop and a half.
Howie trained ans a dancer and perticularly enjoys flaminco and salsa. To Howie, the BSBs is his life. He says that the guys get along like brothers and, being the sociable sort, he says he wouldn't be without them.
Being the peacemaker of the group, Howie knows how to restore harmony, and he's modest about that. Howie explains that the lads basically know everything about each other - secrets and all. And as a group, the boys look out for each other and won't be pushed around.
